investment objective
The investment objective of India Equities Fund Ltd (the Company) is to achieve long-term capital appreciation by being invested in the shares and equity linked investments of companies listed in India.
The Company believes that these benefits are best captured by:
- appointing local proven investment managers who have extensive knowledge of the economy, market dynamics and the range of companies which may be invested in on the BSE and NSE;
- agreeing an investment strategy that aligns closely with existing funds managed by the investment managers;
- ensuring protection of shareholders’ investments; and
- implementing investment processes that maximise shareholder returns.
In managing the portfolio of the Company, the Investment Manager and Manager aim to:
- exceed an absolute return of 20% per annum; and
- exceed the return of the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) 200 Index in Australian Dollars.
